EVA Resin Insulating Blanket Storage Conditions
(According to IEC 61112)
1. Environmental Conditions
Temperature
The insulating blankets shall be stored at an ambient temperature between 10°C and 21°C. Storage areas shall be kept away from radiators, heating equipment, steam pipes, or any other heat sources that may accelerate material aging.
Humidity
The relative humidity of the storage environment shall not exceed 75%. The storage area shall remain dry and well ventilated at all times, and condensation shall be strictly prevented. Light Exposure
The blankets shall be stored in a completely shaded environment. Direct exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, or strong artificial light sources is prohibited, as prolonged exposure may degrade the insulating properties of EVA materials.
Environmental Cleanliness
The storage area shall be clean and free from contamination. Insulating blankets shall be kept away from oil, grease, acids, alkalis, organic solvents, ozone-generating equipment, and other chemical substances that may damage the material.
2. Storage Method
Flat Storage Preferred
Insulating blankets should preferably be stored flat in order to maintain a smooth surface without bending or deformation.
Rolled Storage
Where flat storage is not practical due to space limitations, the blankets may be loosely rolled with a minimum roll diameter of 200 mm (20 cm) to avoid mechanical stress.
Prohibited Practices
Folding, compressing, stacking heavy objects, stepping on the blankets, or any action that may create permanent creases or deformation is strictly prohibited.
Separation and Protection
The blankets shall be stored separately according to specification and type. Contact with sharp objects or abrasive materials shall be avoided to prevent scratches, cuts, or surface damage.
3. Usage and Management Requirements
Dust and Moisture Protection
Appropriate dustproof and moisture-proof measures shall be implemented during storage. Dedicated protective packaging bags are recommended for long-term storage and transportation.
Periodic Inspection
Dielectric withstand voltage testing and insulation performance inspections shall be carried out at least once every six (6) months to ensure continued compliance with safety requirements.
Storage Validity Period
For products that have not been put into service, the recommended maximum storage period shall not exceed two (2) years under the specified storage conditions.
Traceability Management
A complete inventory and traceability management system shall be maintained, including product specifications, storage duration, inspection records, and test history.
