Rubber Insulating Blanket Storage Conditions (IEC 60903)
Rubber insulating blankets must be stored properly to maintain electrical performance and service life in accordance with IEC 60903.
1. Temperature
- Store at 10°C to 25°C
- Avoid heat sources, radiators, and steam pipes
2. Humidity
- Relative humidity ≤ 70%
- Keep in a dry, well-ventilated area
- Prevent condensation
3. Light Protection
- Keep away from direct sunlight
- Avoid UV exposure completely
4. Environment
- Avoid contact with oil, grease, acid, alkali, and organic solvents
- Keep away from ozone and chemical exposure
- Store in a clean, dry space
5. Storage Method
- Store flat or loosely rolled with a large diameter
- Do not fold or create permanent creases
- Avoid heavy pressure or stacking
6. Handling & Management
- Store separately by category
- Prevent abrasion and contact with sharp objects
- Inspect regularly for damage or contamination
7. Inspection & Shelf Life
- Electrical performance test every 6 months
- Maximum shelf life: up to 2 years (unused products)
